Monte Carlo integration in graphics uses anisotropic samplers, but there are currently no tools available to analyze the impact of such anisotropic samplers on variance-convergence behavior. This paper proposes a mathematical tool that allows analysis of the variance, and subsequently the convergence rate, of Monte Carlo integration using any anisotropic-sampling power spectrum.
